This morning we  packed for our trip to Vegas. One last trip to Trader Joes and we are on our way.  The temperature was around 107 degrees!! We started with the roof down but it wasn't long before we stopped to put it up. Everything in the car got so hot we couldn't touch anything! We stopped in Primm to check out the outlet mall. Primm is located on the border of California and Nevada. We decided to drive to Hoover Dam before we drove to our hotel.  As we approached the dam we can see Lake Mead in the distance, beautiful! First we drove over the dam(parking was expensive). We found a free lot that was a little hike. Normally this would not be difficult but it was about 107 degrees and we had walked a lot yesterday. We then walked acrossed the top of the dam. The views were breathtaking !! We visited the gift shop took some more pictures and we were done there. Norm was good enough to go and get the car so I didn't have to walk the whole way back. We arrived shortly at our hotel, MGM Grand. Norm went in to check-in and left me behind the wheel. There is no registration parking spaces. The taxis have a lane,the valet parking has a lane and everyone else needs to move. I thought I could drive around the block once and pick Norm back up but that was not the case. Once I made the turn onto the strip the traffic was bumper to bumper with people crossing at every light. But I managed to return to the front and pick up Norm. We parked in the parking garage and made our way to the room on the 21st floor. We explored our hotel and unpacked.
