We are staying in a guest house in West Hollywood. Norm made the arrangements through a company recommended by our friend, Drew. We park on a residential street and enter through a gate in the driveway. This little house sits in their backyard. We have our own key and total privacy. It's really cute and much cheaper than a hotel in the LA area. We did meet Frances the owner and her 2 dogs one afternoon during our visit.
This morning we took a bus tour of the LA area. It had numerous stops. I will share some of our favorites.
- Hollywood Bowl- Pink Martini was rehearsing. This is an awesome concert venue!
- Dolby Theatre-home of the Oscars.
- Farmers Market- had lunch there
- Rodeo Drive- walked around,didn't go in any shops.
- Famous movie spots- UM church where they filmed Sister Act. Hotel where Richard Gere lived in Pretty Woman & hotel where Julia Roberts lived at the end of the movie.
- Gromans Chinese Theatre
- Downtown LA
- Walt Disney Concert Hall
- Hollywood sign
The afternoon gave us time to unpack and get settled. We headed back to the Farmers Market for dinner and walked around The Grove for the evening. (I looked for someone famous- but no luck). Early to bed as we are tired from travel yesterday.
